{happy*happy} tagging

So I have this amazing, amazing friend who I haven't even met yet, but she's changed my life... the amazing, awesomely rad, talented and genuinely *good* person, PENNY! who always brightens my days and she tagged me with this happy tag and award... Have I mentioned that I *heart* her? Because I do!

So here is how it goes:

My Ten Happy's: (random order)

1. Time with my Hubby- He works so that I can stay home with our daughter and those hours can be very long, so any bit of time with him is the best time.
2. Adventuring with Roslyn- we love to go out and have little adventures whenever we can.  Adventures include finding fall, treasure store (aka thrift store) hunting, grabbing some chais and more.  One of my very favorite things to do.
3. Laughing with Jessica- lately one of my very favorite things is walking down my stairs together.  It usually ends in fits of giggles and me holding her hand. *hilarious!*
4. Music, music, music-not a day goes by without it.  I makes me laugh, it makes me think and it can make me cry.  Nice to have something that will say the words that I haven't been able to fnd.
5. Checking the mail- seriously.  One of my very favorite things to do is to go check the mail.  I just love it.  I'd rather go get my bills in the mail than to not have any mail at all.  And happy things come to me in the mail.  Friends send me awesome mixes and jars of radness(Thanks Penny!), Jimmy Eat World show posters and stickers (thank you eBay!) and scrapstuff!  What's not to love?
6. Feeling Inspired- it's the best feeling in the world and sadly I haven't been feeling it much lately.  I look forward to it when I do again.
7. My favorite beverages- when I want a treat, it's usually in liquid form.  If I had my way I would have a Dunkin' Donuts Iced coffee with extra cream everyday but sadly we do not have a Dunkin' Donuts here (yes, you should feel sorry for me), after that, drinks of choice include: McDonald's Diet Coke, Wendy's Sweet Tea, Starbucks Iced Chai, Cuppers Iced Coffee and the rare Burger King Mocha Joe.  Not really a fan of the food at these fast food places, but their drinks have stolen my heart.
8. My collections- namely my vinyl collection.  I love searching for and finding new records to play.  next part of my collection will be a new record player so that I may enjoy them even more.  I also love to collect vintage bits and pieces for crafty stuff and vintage cameras.
9. Concerts- My very favorite thing to do, I would go to one every day if I could.  And when it's been a while since I have been to show (like right now its been since September), I get twitchy about it.  Luckily, going to see Flogging Molly in March! :D
10. Text Messaging- I hate talking on the phone.  I really do.  But a random text from a friend can make my day.  I want to be in touch and talk to people, I just don't believe that it has to be an audible form of communication.

1. Penny- music lover, baking genious, crafty girl- all around rad person who makes my day pretty much every day with her awesome-ness.
2. Christina- amazing mom, keeps me on my toes and always knows when to give me a hard time.  Plus she is always popping in on me when I need someone to talk to the most. <3 her.
3. Amanda- fellow Disneyland enthusiast, awesome scrapper and mama to three of the most beautiful little girls I have ever seen.
4. Shannon- One of my favorite inspirational sources, a dear friend and someone who I think just gets me for me and manages to like me anyways.
5. Crystal- my sister for all intensive purposes.  Amazing mama to 4 of my very favorite girlies in the world... and list maker extraordinaire!
6. Natasha- witty, wise and wonderful- true adventurer and a reminder for me to remember to adventure myself.  A friend for the good of my soul.
7. Heather- talented, wise and genuine.  More times than I can count I read her blog or she commented and reached out to me when I needed it most and made my day.
8. Jenn- This girl cracks me up on almost a daily basis.  She is funny and smart and real.  A hard combination to come by.  She is one of the most dedicated people I know and one hell of a scrapbooker.
     

The Best of '09

Time for some awards to be given for 2009...

Winner for the award of "Best Adventure of 2009" goes to the weekend of March 8th & 9th, 2009.  A weekend spent with the best hubby of all time celebrating his birthday, seeing Jimmy Eat World and meeting them afterwards of the Clarity tour and going to see the Angels play in Spring Training.  The weekend was pure magic.

The award for "Most Ridiculous Fangirl Nerdness" goes to Kristin, Jessica and my adventure to two release parties to pick up our Twilight DVDs while laughing, squealing, and rearranging and possibly abusing store displays.

The award for "Best New Place Discovered" goes to Liberty Market... yummy food, great atmosphere and fun memories of more Drew and Rachel adventures.
 

The award for "Best Photo Captured by my Cell Phone" goes to this one of Roslyn this fall

The award for "Most Rad New Friend of 2009" goes to Penny, who also wins the catagory of "Best Handmade Gift Recieved of 2009" as well for her jar of radness that she suprised me with.

The award for "The Biggest Moment I Realized my Baby is now a Little Girl of 2009" goes to Roslyn getting her ears pierced.

The award for "Most Memorable Finding our Destination Moment of 2009" goes to me, Michelle, Jenn, and Stacy for our epic adventures in Big Bear... from forgetting the keys to the cabin not existing through a friendly ghost looking our for us by unlocking the back door... it was truly an adventure.

The award for "Favorite Tradition Carried Out of 2009" goes to me and Kristin for seeing RENT again in all it's wonderful-ness.  A fantastic weekend.

The award for "Favorite Concert of 2009" goes to Jim Adkins solo show at Modified with Source Victoria.  Awesome.

The award for "Best New Opportunity of 2009" is tie... this last year I was honored to be asked to join the design teams at A Million Memories AND Creative Therapy.

 

The award for "Best Purchase of 2009" goes to my purchase of my record player.

 The award for "Favorite Family Vacation of 2009" goes to our December Disneyland trip for Roslyn's fifth birthday.

I am so excited to have had all of these oportunities, adventures and experiences this year.  Looking back I can see how 2009 was a GREAT year!
